The sky is blue because of the molecules of nitrogen and oxygen, that make up air. The light from the sun is white, meaning it has all the colors like red, blue, yellow, etc. White is considered to be neutral, right? Which is why it has all the colors. But only the blue colors bounce off of molecules of air, therefore, scattering the color blue all over the sky.
